Kevin is a professional educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching and serves as a hunter education instructor, spending more than 20 training young shooters. For several years he hosted podcasts dealing with firearms issues, including guest hosting an episode of the popular “The Survival Podcast” about firearms and disaster readiness. Kevin is also a certified NRA instructor and Utah BCI instructor, and has taught hundreds of students how to qualify for their concealed carry permits in various states. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Kevin’s passion for gun rights and personal safety come through in all his classes. He has taught courses in active shooter situations for schools and developed an armed teacher program at his school when he was a principal. He has served in church security roles and as a member of various Campus Safety Teams for nearly two decades, while training students of all ages in personal self-defense through leading martial arts classes and teaching private defensive handgun and rifle courses. During the past two years, he has overseen the construction of a new rural gun range for the purpose of helping new shooters learn to safely exercise their Second Amendment rights, as well as providing experienced gun owners a dedicated location to shoot. He enjoys competitive shooting opportunities himself such as Cowboy Action and Muzzle loading events.
